Have come by the stainless molding that installs in the windshield rubber seal for Deluxe models.Have the wiper transmission mounts out of the way,and belt molding. How difficult is it to remove and install 2 piece glass with new rubber for stainless molding in it? Did a search but only found information about glass/rubber/stainless molding all go in at same time.

I am not certain if you are wanting to replace the stainless only, but the completer procedure is listed on page 1-12 in the GM SERVICE MANUAL.

Instructions also listed in the 1949 Fisher A Body Manual. Money well spent picking one up as it gives instructions on door adjustments, window installs, trim etc..
