I've got two T-3 headlights that have "Seal beam" in the bottom section. They both are good. I also have one installed in the car that has "Guide" in the bottom section. Which ones are correct for a 1957 Chevy? All (3) are good. Should I put both of the ones that have "Seal beam" on the car? What does the Judges say?
i will look through my stuff tommorw and see if I can find the information
I do know that Corvettes and Passenger Cars use the same T-3's and if I remember correctly the words "sealed Beam" in 57 are smaller then they were in 56 and are about 2 1/2" in overall length, and are smaller font. As far judges noticing it, that all depends on what organization is doing the judging
per NCRS judging manual: "headlamp bulbs must be matching Guide T-3 design , with pebble grain (not vertical lines) within the triangle. SEALED BEAM 3/8" and 1/4" high lettering were both used throughout the 56 and 57 model years." However, i agree with john the 56's utilized the small lettering and the 57's used the large lettering. mike mccagh
