41 Master Deluxe 216.

I was working on the car and noticed what appears to be a slight leak from the bottom of the water pump gasket on the drivers side. This is just under the lower bolt for the pump. Last year I had changed the pump and there are not that many mile on this. The only change was a bolt loosened and retightened to change the generator. Any idea why it would start weeping after being in storage all winter? The car is yet to get out for its first drive this year, only been started a few times as we have been working on it.

I suspect the leak is past the shaft seal. If you are sure it is a bolt a sealer like Permatex No. 2 can be of some help.

Been watching this and it appears to have been nothing. We must have spilled fluid or something when working on the car. Nothing has reappeared in this area.

If the static coolant is below the leak point then it won't leak any more. Can you see coolant in the radiator?

Good luck,

Yes there is coolant in the radiator. We check that and the oil every other ride or before any long trips. We have but a few hundred miles on the car this summer so far so I think if there was an issue it would have shown back up.
