One of the advantages of VCCA membership is that you can easily connect with other classic Chevy owners in your area.

Finding a competent shop that is willing a to work on these vehicles is becoming more and more difficult. That is why so many of us do so much of our own work.

What problem are you having with your rear axle?

Hello Mike , the first thing I noticed was the it was leaking fluid , so took it apart and found loose rivets on the ring gear and tighten them,Then looking at it and fount that one of the bearings had spun on the carrier. I have found new bearings at a local supply shop and he suggested I put them on with loctite, I am hopping I don't have to mess with the axle and torque tube bearings,,,, So for now that is where I am.

Where was it leaking? At the rear cover or axle ends?
