Can someone tell me what the ring gap is supposed to be?
Also what the head torque is ?
I have the torque sequence.
Thanks,
James
My service book says ring end gap is between .002-.014 with .010 being nominal.A previous post lists the cylinder head torque at 70 ft/lbs.Be careful if you are re-using old bolts. They may be stretched and a little weaker than new bolts.
When I was at tech trade course (over 40 years ago) the common rule was .003" to .004" per 1" in bore diameter. In that line a 3" bore would use between .009" to .012" ring end gap.

I always went to the high on the top ring as it gets the most heat.
