I recently purchased a carter carb,569s I am told. There is no tag on it.It appears as though it has never been on a car.It does have the number 421 stamped on the underside of the flange.Could someone please identify what I actually have?

The 421 flange number was used by the following carburetors:

483-S; 515-S; 569-S and the 574-S.

Thanks so much Junkyard Dog!My next question would be;are there any other identifying marks to tell me exactly what carb it is?Also,is this a good carb for my 33 master coupe? Thanks in advance.

If it has a straight accelerator arm then it is a 569S. The others have the accelerator arm with the two 90 deg. bends. The 569S is a good option for your '33 but is easy to tell from the original Carter W-1 in case you ever decide to have it judged.
