I'm looking for both low beam and high beam T3 hdlps for 1972 Caprice. The T3 emblem is located at the lower portion of the bulb. GM parts numbers are 5956002 and 5956001 I believe.

I always thought that the T3 triangle was more to the center of the lamp?

Checked all of my T3 headlight bulbs and every bulb has the T3 triangle in the center.

I believe the 1972 had the Power Beam lights

That is correct. My all original 1972 Cheyenne still has the original headlight bulbs and they are Power Beam, not T3.

I have T3 headlights on my 57. Does anyone know what years T3 headlights were used.

Guide T3 sealed beams were first used in 1956.

The 5956001 and 002 were Power Beams. I remember those well in their blue boxes. I believe they
entered production" in 1970 or 1971.

Our 74 Nova still has Powerbeam Headlights in it. The car is a 45,000 mile original. We're the second owner. Have had it 15 years.

Hi Gene
I have two 5001 power beams from Symco Shakedown with part # 5965416. Any info on this part number ? Can't find in my catalogs here at home.

That number is in my 1975 parts book for the inner location.
The outer is part # 5664600 and I wonder if that number is still good today.

Jim D and Gene, as always, are correct. Your '72 Impala needs the quad set of PowerBeams. They will say "Guide" on them and have a circular pattern in the center of the bulb. T-3s ended in 1970. PowerBeams first appeared on the 1970 Camaros in February when they came out late as "70 1/2"

I do have two matching high beams on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280552457966&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
Contact me about them if you are interested. auto

I found this thread by doing a Google search for the AC Delco headlights.

I was cleaning out my garage and came across a box full of AC Delco and Tung-Sol headlight that I don't remember buying.

Here's what I have.

I tried searching online, but had no luck. I was wondering if someone can help me identify both, so that I have proper info when I try to get rid of them.

Thanks!

It is obvious what you have. Both of the required bulbs in the 4 headlight system. They are 12-volt. Customer only needs to check the 4000 or 4001 and order the same.
