Just picked up a 30 Chevy 4 dr sedan with a great need for a new interior - from headliner to carpet on the floor. Any suggestions / experience with suppliers and installers in the Northeast PA area ?

It's also interesting to note some of these models were finished with mohair fabric and others finished with broadcloth (your vehicle's trim code should be a guide). Most kits I understand use the mohair type. My '31 Coach has the original broadcloth seat fabric, and I am thinking I will look for a similar material if I can find it.

Thanks 67vetteal. I'll have to follow up on this when I have some more info on the kit. I've never done interior work before and I hate to learn on something like this... the goal is to pay for the kit once !

I used the Hampton Coach interior on my 1930 Coupe, it was much easier than I thought it would be. You don't need experience to do a professional looking job. A few simple tools and a large work table are all that's needed.

Thanks for the feedback on Hampton coach, I watched their video and was impressed. So, you did yours yourself and no issues. How about the headliner ? any special tips or recommendations ?

Just follow the instructions and take your time. It's pretty stright forward. I dreaded installing the headliner, but it turned out to be easy. Also make sure the doors are properly aligned so the binding around the door panels fits properly. If you run into any problems call them, they're very helpful.

Somehow there's a lot more pride in the car when you've done the work yourself. Good luck

Yes I also replaced the top, also a straight foward job. The important thing is to take your time. Measure twice, cut once. If you are trying to keep the car original, save the molding (if it's original). The whole job, interior and top took about three days to complete, but I took a lot of breaks.
