Thinking about resealing my rear lever shocks. My right shock is leaking and I think overhaul kits are available. I remember reading about using a torque wrench to check your lever. My other option is sending them to Apple Hydraulics out of New York. What kind of job am I in for?

I've never found any kits for rebuilding these lever shocks and I believe it takes some special tools to take them apart. I ended up having mine rebuilt.

I see new ones on ebay from time to time and they usually go for a reasonable price. The 1939 Master DeLuxe rear shocks also fit 1940's except the Master 85 (not common) and all 1940-48 cars.
