Anyone perhaps know how the 1.5" diameter carrier post that goes through a 3" round hole in the right front fender is cut out for the pin in the upper bracket to rotate in?
The 1.5" tube, or post, goes thru the fender to be held by a set screw in the lower bracket, under the fender. The top bracket, which bolts to the spare tire rim , rotates with a pin through a cutout slot in the top of the pipe/support, so the spare tire/wheel can be removed and used.

This pipe was manhandled and although it miraculously survived almost intact, I cannot tell what the shape of the cutout was. I can send photos if anyone has any idea what i am talking about.
The 36 standard fender mt spare seems to be unique, and the truck mounts are entirely different of course.
