There are many clues on the car that can offer information about that car. And, there are many discussions on this site about those numbers.

For example, I used our site's Advance Search page with a search criteria of +engine +number +prefix and one of the search hits led to this discussion: Engine numbers

There may still be the vehicle identification plate attached to the right hand side of the seat, normally starts with 22AB. …… then a serial number. Australian assembled 1928’s were a chassis and mechanicals sourced from Tarrytown NY USA..

On the rh timber sill, there may be Holden’s Body builders aluminium body plates with body number and style of body, and also another aluminium plate for paint colours.
