I have always been Chevy - My first 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster was a prize that my mother won in a Pepsodent toothpaste contest that Bob Hope awarded in 1947. That was only two+ years before my birth.

I was trying to buy a 1929 Chevrolet 2 door in 1966, and joined the VCCA. I am member number #2266.

The engine from the 47 was swapped into a 1946 1/2 ton Chevy panel in 1970, and it was my only transportation to the U of Arizona, 100 miles from my parent's home. The panel was sold in 1984.

I now have a 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, and another 1946 1/2 ton panel, and both are original with 216 power. They are drivers, but the panel is not allowed out of my zip code. I cannot afford a longer tow bill!

I felt that this association could guide me to some parts access, and also move the extra pieces and parts that will not be needed. Others should get the opportunity to enjoy the use of 75 year old parts.

Welcome to VCCA Chatter. It is a friendly place particularly for VCCA members. We have some very knowledgeable participants that are chomping at the bit to help others enjoy their Chevys and GMCs.

Welcome Doug! You should edit your preferences to show the club logo under your name so everyone can see you support the club. I found you in a member search so that option is available to you.
