Hello All!

Brand new member to the group here, thank you for having me. My name is Chris Bell and I run a company called Scale Speed Garage which teaches scale model car builders how to add 3D printing to their modeling hobby. We also provide them with monthly file downloads that they can 3D print. I take pride in designing the most detailed and accurate 3D files available. (Hopefully it's not sacrilege to post here, but I have attached a photo of our Flathead Ford block to give you an idea of the detail we put into our designs.)

I am planning to offer a lineup of big block 3D files in multiple displacements. In my research I learned that W Block engines have a cylinder head deck that is 16 degrees off of perpendicular to the bore, whereas Gen IV blocks have a traditional deck.

My question is this: Aside from the cylinder head deck angle, are W blocks and Gen IV blocks identical? Or are there other external differences as well?

Thank you in advance for your time and experience!

Chris

Thanks! I'm just starting to plan my research and this helps me focus that research.
