What is the proper tie rod end adjustment on 1930 AD universal as far as the rod ends are concerned? Are they similar to the drag link? Thank you

The shop manual says to tighten the end screw driver slot screw all the way untill the spring is fully collapsed then loosen just enough to insert the cotter pin...
