Windshield: Metal side pieces fasten to window and slide in rubber channel. Trying to install in opening. What holds the rubber channels in place? What is the correct sequence to make this work?
Doors: Window channel retainer is 14" long but the glass travels from top of opening to bottom out inside the door which is a lot more than 14". Exactly where and how does the metal channel retainer install?
1932 5 window coupe. Thanks. (I have read tech articles from FS and more and still am not clear on this.

In the 32 body service manual supplement it describes the removal process and states that the rubber runs are cemented to the pillar post and installed when attached to the windshield. it's been over 20 years since I did my 32 but I think it's best to put some sealer on the mounting surface first and then with a helper and the glass at the lower position press it in to place. I can not help with the door glass as I did not install that myself.
