I have been working on a 1927 Chevy 1 ton truck and had a great surprise when the ignition cylinder and key pulled out of the ignition switch while shutting off the ignition.
I was finally able to pull the ignition, and I think what is missing or destroyed is a part to hold the cylinder assembly in the switch. There must have been some play as where the switch cylinder connects with the brass ignition connection. The groove for the brass connection is worn out from having the switch cylinder not being secure. I do not know what held the ignition cylinder in place.
I am looking for a complete ignition switch assembly or a parts one I can salvage to repair my switch.
Thanks Paul

Have you contacted Jarvis Erickson as suggested in your other post? You also might want to run an ad in the G&D as many members do not tune in to Chat.

I tried to contact him but he never returned my telephone call. I will try to call him again, or send him a snail mail as he has no email address in his add.
I agree, I will place an add in the G and D.
Thanks Paul

Since you're a member you can go to the club home page, log into the Members Only section then do a member search for him. Then click on his name to view his profile. His email is listed there.

I did have the same issue trying to contact him. Keep in mind that he is in Washington state so three hours behind the East Coast. I found this on the VCCA home page.
