I guess I am getting old. I cannot remember what this component is. Can someone please help? It is off of a 31 Chevy.
Thanks much

Ignition condenser. The terminal end attaches to the wire from the ignition coil to the distributor points. It may be anywhere on that wire or at either end. The cylindrical part needs to be grounded for it to work properly.
