I bought a radio for my 32 Chevy got the receiver and speaker, but looking for the eliminator it’s my understanding your converts 6 v dc 200 V AC to power up the radio can anybody help me with this issue thank

I think you mean the vibrator. Just google 6 volt radio vibrator. You should probably get a solid state one That are not as noisy as the old electro-mechanical units. Chev of the 40's has them.

I know they convert the direct current input power to AC but I doubt if it goes to 200 volts.

I haven’t dealt with a Chevy radio of that age but the early ones used a separate power supply box with what I would describe as a motor generator set to produce the high dc voltage. My 38 Master radio which I restored uses a vibrator. It supplies interrupted dc pulses to a power transformer which produces high voltage AC. That is fed to a rectifier tube that produces DC in the neighbourhood of 300 volts,


My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

My 38 Master radio had a vibrator that was much larger than the newer ones. There is no replacement for them. I had to install a socket for the later style vibrator.


My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .

Is there a model number on your 32 or a schematic? Possibly inside cover
