Anybody know where the long and short rubber frame pads go on a 52 fleetline 2dr?
I got two 12 inch that are crushed at one end by body mounts under the floor pans and pretty sure I remember peeling them off the frame somewhere under the floor boards.

I got three 5 inch length that I barely recall were near the axle. I presume there was four 5 inch at one time.
Appears by clearances maybe a 5inch goes under body right at the first portion of upturned part of frame which travels over the axle. And maybe third one I have fell out around the spare tire well...No idea bc I found it in dirt just yesterday and fourth one is long gone if ever was there.

I tried oldcarmanualproject but dont see any reference to frame/body pads.

I got 18 metal shims as well and no idea where they came from. I assume were to align the doors with body and maybe also the fenders.

Ive raised and lowered frame three times but not let body weight down onto frame bc its fresh paint. The raising/lowering thinking and guessing is exhausting. thanks

I believe metal shims are used at all the mounting bolt to frame spots along with the insulating pads. Some may have a couple shims depending on body fit-at least that is what I found on my 51 which is not yet mounted. Like you I have had it off and on several times and it is a pain. Possibly the folks at National Chevy can advise on the longer pad cushions as that is where I purchased my yet to be installed kit. The longer one I think is just in front of the kick-up but no idea on the shorter. My car is a Belair so not sure if they are the same .

thanks... that does ring a big bell. I now recall at least one metal shim on each body mount rubber pad and some had two shims. Also now recall I took pics in 2000's to remember all the disassembly details but that computer drive froze years ago trapping all my photos on it.
