I'm currently working on a 32' Olds cabriolet which uses the same parts as the Chevy. I'm looking for door hinges and the door dovetail receptacles or casings (as they're called on the Filling Station catalog). They mount on the pillars and the door wedges go into them. They are different than the casings on the closed cars. My customers are worn out and if someone had a good set that would save some time. Also need a few hinges. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ted

Ted, I took off some hinges from 1927 and 1928 Chevrolet closed car doors. They are not the exact lengths or hole locations as those on one of my 1931 Cabriolets. It was possible to use one to replace a broken one. Took a little metal work but much easier and quicker than finding one. I will pick up the extras in the next week or so if you think they might help.
How Sweet the roar of a Chevy four!

thanks Chipper. I'll look at what I have to see what I need. The owner of this olds had a complete set of hinges that he had blasted and primed. Somewhere between the painter and my house, he misplaced them. I'm tryin to help him the best I can.
