Member search only provided email address. Sent several and no response. Mentioned that I was a "Fleetline" lover thinking that would generate a reaction from him but nothing.
If anyone knows how to get in touch with him, please do so and find out if he is OK.

Thanks; Dick

Log in on the club home page, not chat. Click on Member Search then search for Charles Hill. It gives his full name, full address and telephone number.

Tiny: Thank you for providing the "how to" info on finding Charlie's contact info. I did call the number listed and he answered! Had a nice talk with him.

For all who are interested: With his permission I can relate why we have not heard from him recently on the chat site.
Seem a few days before Christmas he was getting out of a car and a gust of wind caught the door causing him to fall to the ground. Broke his femer bone at the hip. Now has a rod in the bone and into the hip. Not pleasant procedure and he has had a lot of discomfort. Seemed to appreciate the call when I told him several others have missed his posts.
His number is 910-488-8760 if anyone is inclined to call him. Maybe we can cheer him and get him back posting on the chat site

Thank you for getting in touch with Charlie, it is good to hear he is still about though in some what difficult circumstances. A broken femer shouldnt prevent him using a computer though getting to the computer could be a problem.

Thanks to all of you who wondered where I've been. Yes, on the 23rd of December I fell at the local flea market and broke off the top of my femur at the hip. I knew it was broken because my right foot was pointing at a right angle (90 degrees) to my left foot. The got me to the hospital right away and the surgeon said that yes it was slap [bleeped] broken and that he was going to operate that same night. Now I have more steel metal in me than a Ford pickup's bed.

The recovery has gone from downright miserable to now getting able to walk without the use of a walker or cane. I hate um both. But therapy folks insist. that I use the at least the cane. As soon as they release me, the cane is going in the same heap of junk as the arm sling I had to use when I had to have surgery on my shoulder.

Enough of that. Why couldn't I get on the computer? Well, all in all, I just didn't feel like it. I have no better excuse so please forgive me.

I'll do a better job of keeping up with the forum in the future,

BTW: my thanks to Dick for getting in touch with me.

Best,

Charlie computer

BTW2: If you need knee surgery, just do it, Piece of cake. If you need shoulder surgery. No problems. If you need hip surgery, consider eating a bullet. Just saying. dance Agrin

Tiny,
"kicking" might have been the wrong term in this case.
Glad to have you back, Charlie.

Good to see you back, your posts do provide a different view on situations even if I disagree with them.

Welcome back Charlie.
Good thing they didn't treat you like rebuilding an old Chevy and try to use wood.
All kidding aside that has to be one 'sucky' injury to come back from.
Stay well!

The club issues me a new password. Again! It's not the clubs fault, though. I don't know what is wrong. It seems as if it doesn't work but only when it wants to.

I usually spend so much time fiddling around trying to get signed in that the effort makes me just give up and do something else. The "keep me signed in" never works either.

I envy those of you who year after year seem to experience no problem signing in. Do too! dance

Best,

Ive been having weird troubles like that with Safari as a browser. Switched to Google chrome, and no problems...

Charlie you seem to have more trouble logging in than anyone else I know, have you tried writing your password down so you can check it each time you attempt to login. Like brewster I use google chrome and only need to login maybe once a month or 2.
