I took a look at this 1927 Roadster ‘basket’ case. I believe there is a complete car there, with an extra 1928 engine and transmission. Also included is the 1928 car pictured as well. The roadster has been apart for a long time. This car is in Pennsylvania and has no title. Could anyone take a stab at what would be a fair value for this package deal? Another thing to consider is the amount of time it will take to clean out and load all these parts and components. Thank you

The "value" of anything is so subjective it's almost impossible to give you an answer. It all depends on how badly the seller wants to sell and the buyer wants to buy. Geography also plays a hand. As a general rule a basket case anything has little value because there are almost always missing, hard to find parts. Hopefully someone will be along soon that can provide you with the information you seek.

One thing that to check out is whether the engines are frozen. If so, the overall value of the whole thing would be less.
Also, take a screwdriver and poke the wood structure of the body. If it is soft or gives you the feel that it needs to be replaced, that also is a detractor from its value.

You are correct, I believe they are model ’A’ headlights and cross bar. The Chevrolet headlights are not pictured, but are there with an extra set as well.

I just looked at the photos again and realized that the roadster is a '28, not a '27. There are three major clues:
1. The radiator shroud is definitely from '28 because of the oval emblem area. The '28 radiator is larger than one from '27, so it cools better. That being said, there should be a rear radiator shroud that takes up the space between the back of the radiator and the engine cooling fan. Without this shroud, cooling is much diminished. The engine compartment in a '28 is 4 inches longer than a '27, so the engine in the '28 sits farther away from the radiator than previous years.
2. The car has front brakes. That started in '28. The '27 only had brakes on the rear wheels.
3. The engine is a '28. The block breather tube that goes to the carb is the giveaway. The '28 engine has more horsepower than a '27. ;-)
