A VCCA member in Spokane found a machine shop to rebuild his 1931 six cylinder. The same people should be able to rebuild your four. I have sent his name in a PM. Look for the envelope near your Chat name to read the PM.

Upper right corner of any page where your user name is. You should see an envelope icon. When it's flashing you have a message waiting for you to read.

To get an idea of what a '28 engine rebuild involves, check out these two discussions:

1. Ray Holland's "School is in Session" PDF. This invaluable document tells the story of Ray (a Master Mechanic) rebuilding a 1928 engine and the online discussions surrounding his presentation. The PDF one of the Technical Articles that is located in the Members area off the main VCCA website (vcca.org). You need to be a VCCA member to access this area. Warning: this document is 250 pages long! A good read, though!

2. In 2017, I rebuilt the '28 engine that is my '27 one ton truck (Lurch) and I documented that journey here: Resurrecting a '28 Four Banger

Cheers, Dean
