I will be replacing the shifter in my 38 this Spring (maybe sooner if weather is good) and the old shifter has a knob on it but the replacement does not. How can I take the knob off the old and put on the replacement? I saw on another thread that the column shifter knob was heated to replace, floor shifter knob the same?
