Machine shop called this morning after maging the two heads I took them for my truck engine rebuild. Both heads cracked. I have a third head here I could take them to mag, but that one has broken casting where the water outlet attaches so it would need repair also, and it could be cracked too, who knows. Strange thing about that head is it has no casting numbers on it at all nor does it have a matching engine number stamped on the exhaust flange. Does anyone know if Frank Casey out in MA is still fixing heads, and about what I might expect for a repair cost, or someone closer to WI perhaps? Or does anyone have a 28 head around they know is good? David

I have not, but someone else mentioned them, and I did watch a video on how they do that. I do not know the extent of the cracks yet, but the stitching looks like a repair I could do myself if I got the pieces from them to do it. From what the shop described there are several small cracks.

David, There is a place in Iowa that repairs cylinder heads. I think you can find them with Google.
