I have a 48 GMC with the original 228. I want to change the motor mounts but need some guidance. Can I change them without removing the motor? I have done this on other cars, not sure about this old truck. It appears the L & R mounts are different, is that true? I'll take any advise and direction on parts supplier. Thanks!

Check the online catalogs for JimCarter Truck parts and The Filling Station. One of them will surely have the mounts listed. This will tell you what they fit and if left and right are the same.
Good luck.
