I am trying to put together a set of wheels for my friends 1955 2nd series 1/2 ton pickup. Some of the wheels I have found have bumps stamped in the bead area, as if to hold a wheel cover in place. What is the original application of these wheels?

Gene, The wheels with the bumps have pin striping. Is that normal for a pickup wheel in the late 50s or might they have been repainted for a '48 or earlier application?
