Been meaning to clean up some of the wiring on my ‘38 Master Deluxe. Current horn wiring seems original, brittle and broken insulation. Anybody know what the original wire colors were? Car has the Banjo steering wheel and the Duo Trumpet (Town & Country?) horns.

You might want to contact YNZ Wiring and order a new horn harness. I don't remember the colors on my '37 but they had it correct based on what I removed.
They could also tell you the color of the grounding wire that goes up the steering column to the horn contact. Those take some effort to replace. The dual horn harness connects to the wire where it comes out of the steering column. The color will be the same regardless of the steering wheel style. The banjo steering wheel was either a dealer installed accessory or an aftermarket item.
Make sure the end of the wire to the stock horn is well insulated or maybe even disconnected. It is hot all the time that the battery is connected.
The accessory dual horn wires will probably not come with a wiring harness because the horns were an add-on accessory. The wire that comes up throgh the column is a groud wire.
YNZ specifically lists a harness for the Country horns for a 1938 car.
The one I bought included the power wire from the starter terminal to the relay with an inline fuse, the wires from the relay to the horns, and the wire that connected the relay to the ground wire going up the steering column.
I don't have a good photo handy. The power runs from the battery lug on the starter switch to, I believe, the center lug of the relay. The lugs on the relay are labeled. If memory serves me correctly the passenger side lug on the relay feeds the horns while the driver side lug goes to the horn button.

Was curious as to the routing of the power wire from the starter to the horn relay. On mine, the wire has been replaced, but it is just kind of dangling. Was it attached to the firewall?

It was just hanging on mine when I pulled it from the barn, see the photo below. I put a "P" clip on the horn support when I rewired mine to keep it out of the way. Again see the photo below. The clip is hidden behind the heater hose in the photo. I might have a better picture on the other computer. I'll check tomorrow and post if I do.
