There is 4 motor mounts used on an 1939 engine , two heavy pressed ones on the front engine plate, and two at the side of the bellhousing , which are like a sandwich between two metal plates, also a rear gearbox mount is used to control forward and backwards movement of the engine,
The side rear engine mount suffer from the load transferred to them in tension,
A new type of side engine mount was designed which the Transfers the load to a shear load at 45 degree angle to the original rubber rear mounts. They were sold as replacement and standard on later years, The problem with retrofitting them to a 1939 is the lack of the locating boss top and bottom of the rubber biscuit mount,
I cut up so old standard side mounts and welded them mount boss into the new design shear load mounts,
It depends on how much trouble you want to go too, when you can just buy the old standard rear mounts and bolt them straight in,
