Regardless of whether or not it is correct, what is the purpose of this curl in the fuel and vacuum lines? I have seen it in many different applications but didn't know if there was a method to the madness.

I guess they did not have a tubing cutter yay

Or they over did where a sngle curl would have been sufficent. The curl in a line is to spread out the bending of the line caused by vibratons or movement between two components.
