A Cameo is occasionally seen finished all in one color (not with the wide strip on the side of the cargo box in the usual contrasting white/beige)

Is that correct?

The box insert was always painted the same color as was used aroud the windows according to my Info.
Not a solid color for the complete unit.

A black '57 "Cameo" that gave rise to my question that opened this thread wears serial nos. V3A57L106124, which equates to V-8 engine, 3100 series, '57 model year and Los Angeles assembly plant. It is a beauty that is carefully looked after by its owners.

Other than Model 3124 badges on front fenders (and other exclusive Cameo trim) is there anything on a Cameo to determine that it came off the line as a Cameo? Might it be a clone (not that there's anything wrong with that)?

'55 Cameo were Commercial Red w. Bombay Ivory accents

'57 Cameo could be ordered in a variety of colors/accents

What about the '56 Cameo, please

Sorry (head hanging in embarrassment) I posted '55 Cameo "colors" backwards; s/b Bombay Ivory w. Commercial Red accent.

Am still confused about '56 and '57 Cameos (see above)
