I have what I believe is a Chevy 490 rear end/differential, but need some help to identify. I woudl like to sell it to someone who needs it and I plan on having it at Hershey in two weeks at my space (RCD 38-40), Pinky Randall's old spaces. Thanks, Ray Moot call me on my cell 618-741-7778
From looking at the parts book, it looks like a 1924 Superior rear housing. P/N 341730. Ref; Combined Parts List, Four Ninety and Superior Models July 1st,1925. Pg. 22

. The first photo is a 1923 model B pumpkin and torque tube. It's the same as a1924 model F but different from a 1923 model C and D. (Pictures of C & D available if you are interested.) . Your picture shows a rear end with Hotchkiss and torque arm. . I took some pumpkin pictures at Bowling Green but forgot to label them. I believe the next two photos are under a 1918 D-5 V-8 looks similar to yours. . . . Lou . . .
Ray - I don't know what your rear-end is but it is NOT a 490 or '23/'24 Superior rear end. Good luck identifying this part. Please let us know when you figure it out.
