I have 30-31 axles but I have one that looks the same except the splined end is a smaller diameter. Would this be a 29 or 28? Thanks for any help.

I may be wrong but,
I think the 1929 axle looks much like the 1930-31 axle except with the smaller splined end.
The smaller splined axle should fit 1929, 28, 27, and a few earlier years with a part number of 355519.
This axle (1929 etc) should measure 1.130 inches across the splined end, the 1930-31 axle should measure 1.225 inches.

Hope that helps.
