Last year I bought a basket case '29 roadster. The PO had bought several parts he included because without the '29 he did not need the other parts. There is a set of fenders marked '30 truck. I know there are some differences in the rear fenders from a car to a truck but did not think there was a difference in the front fenders. Am I wrong?

There is a difference in the front fenders from 1929 to 1930. Sometime during that period the reinforcement between the back of the front fender and running board was changed. The reinforcement was extended and has a 90 deg. bend. They added a rivet in the lower back exterior corner of the fender as well as the spot welding to hold it in place. Lew Clark, deceased, (1929 Technical Advisor for many years) and I tried to pin down when that change was made without success. Our best guess was early 1930.
The 1929 to 1930 truck and car front fenders are the same. There is a difference between the 1930 front fenders and the 1931 - 1932 truck fenders however.

Thanks Chip. I kinda remembered about the reinforced rivet and didn't think there was much else. I know the splash apron was different between trucks and cars. These may end up as extras later.
