Hi, have been away for a few years after my 46 style master was rear ended. Just purchased a really nice 51 3100 thrift master. What jack did these come equipped with? The truck will be delivered Wednesday & it does not have a spare but I can use the one from my 46 coupe. It also used to have an under bed spare mount which is missing.
It is really nice previous owner did a frame off restoration & jack & tire carrier missing. Will post a photo when I figure that out. I will be renewing membership later this week when I catch up with everything I need to do for when the 3100 arrives. I have really missed attending the Southern Spring tours. Ol nobull. Jimmie Price

The 1946 wheel is the same wheel that was used on early 1951 trucks. The rim width was 4 inches. The late 1951 trucks had a 4 1/2 inch rim. Being used for a spare it would make no difference.
The jack was a screw type under the axle type.

What style spare tire carrier was used on the 1951? I know that Chevy changed from the slide-out design to the swing-out after 1949. Just don’t know when.
