I am trying to put my Electrolock back to the way it was born. My car already has the armored cable and cap, but it is zip tied to the firewall above the battery (out of the way) with a wire spliced into it extending to a replace, ent coil.

I just acquired the coil. I have diagrams showing the mounting of the coil and showing the armored cable running along the top of the head at the valve cover level.

Does anyone have photos, drawings, or the actual clips needed to attach the armored cable to the head/valve cover?

Please don't take this the wrong way. It is called an Electrolock ignition. I sometimes get something stuck in my head and cannot get it out.

Noted Keith. I have changed the original post. Not sure where I came up with the other name, but thank you for the correction. I do appreciate it!

The cable runs from the firewall to the coil without being attached to the valve cover or the engine.

This is how it runs on my 38. I imagine the 40 is similar. This picture is pre restoration so disregard the engine and heater hose colors.

I can't thank you enough for the information that you have given! With some vehicles internet searches provide pretty much any information you could need. I have noticed that there really isn't much to be found on these cars outside of this forum, the Old Cars Manual Project site, and the Filling Station. Without the information and guidance from the group here, it would by much more difficult to restore one of these cars.

I just hope that I can somehow I can both help those who have helped me and that I can pass the information forward to others.
