You did what? How many years did you own it?

Hi Chipper,

We owned it 16 years. Doris bought it in Lancaster County, PA from her uncle’s estate auction when he had to go into assisted living. I finally got it on the road in the spring of 2017.

I drove it about 6500 miles in those 5+ years. And met a lot of great people along the way!!

Not sure what vehicle might be next. We do have the “off-brand” ‘57 2 seater. So by no means am I put of the classic car hobby. And there are plenty of friends who can use my support. I just got a ‘29 “off-brand” pickup going after it sat in storage for 12 years.

And by no means do I intend to disconnect form VCCA and Chat.

Finally pulled the trigger eh? There's a nice 53 for sale down the page. How are you going to lead future tours without a Chevy after all???? 53

I saw that listing. Not a bad price for a very nice touring car. I could combine picking it up with a visit to my sisters in Richmond.

I can't testify to the quality of any work that's been done to it but if it's mechanically as good as it looks (and it's not a rust bucket hiding under pretty paint) it's not a bad price at all.
