Seems I have seen original color paint advertised. Can't find any now that I need it. No luck yet with matching ⁸chips. Compounded a couple of unexposed surfaces and they look good but I'm not sure the color there is true due to 82 years. Also, was the steering column, steering wheel, and e brake the same color as the main part of the dash? I know the panels are a taupe(ish) color. What options are there? Thanks for.any help.

Here are two color photos I had posted on Instagram a while back from a 1940 Chevrolet training film. When I get time I will go back to the film and see if there are more

Thanks guys for the consideration. I have the paint now. I compounded unexposed surfaces and matched as best I could with color books from SW. Turned out well. The only problem is the 2K urethane is too shiney. Investigating polishing it down to the original sheen. The Master85 did have woodgrain window garnish, or so I've been told. Mine are grained.

Curious if you would be willing to share the paint code that you chose? I am planning to begin touching things up in the interior of my car soon. I would really appreciate the head-start on research.

I don't have a color code. I just compounded an unfazed spot and had it analyzed at the automotive paint store. There are at least three variables here. Computer accuracy, degree of degradation after eighty two years, and mixing accuracy. What could possibly go awry? At second thought, the codes for the colors are on the labels on the National Coatings cans. I don't know if they would be specific to their paint only. I'll post them if you like.
