Seems so, that the Fleetmaster had another chrome molding as my 1940 Special de luxe. It is not possible at my SDL to get the seal under the chrome

Now the Moulding is installed. Had a little Problem on the right side, because the moulding slides up everytime when i tried too pull the upper side on the pinch weld. Don't realise this and wonder why the chrome doesn´t fit in the middle. But now everything is fine. Tomorrow have to remove the Rest from the sealant

Looks good. I did not use any sealant when installed the trim. I did lay a big fat bead of sealant on the inside just under the trim when I installed the windshield and the sealant compressed up beyond the trim on the outside. Tested it with water hose afterwards and it did not leak.I don't drive it much in the rain.

I just had a PM question about the correct screw size for the screws that attach the center garnish to the vertical window divide. Chevs of the 40's was selling a stainless screw with a 5/16" head instead of a 1/4" head that was used by the factory. Both screws are 1 1/8" long with fine thread. I got my screws from ACE Hardware or Prime Fasteners. Make sure you polish the screw heads before installing.

Thanks, Mike
