So we flushed the block, installed a new sealed water pump, hoses, boiled the radiator/fuel tank and reassembled the car . It starts and runs beautifully, I ran it up and down the local hills with no heat issues. I'm super happy with impulsively bringing this car home last week. There are a lot of small issues to address but I'm feeling pretty good right now.

My primary issue is when I parked it I noticed I'm dumping oil from what looks like the timing cover. Drips following the car and a significant amount right under the bolt in the center of the cross member. After a short investigation it really looks like the cover is leaking. I dug through the parts book and found a number but am having no luck finding this gasket. Anyone have a source or am I stuck making one? Is there any other seals/gaskets in that area that may need attention?

Thanks,
Matt

That gasket is readily available as are most the engine gaskets. BEST Gasket is the company that makes them. There are 2 gasket in that area. time Timing cover gasket (RED) which goes behind the timing cover and is easier to change/replace just have to remove the crank pulley . the second is the Timing Cover Plate Gasket (CYAN), which goes between the mounting plate and the engine block, plate is right behind the timing gear & crank gear it has screws that hold it to the block, it is the plate that the timing cover secures to.!! it is more work as you have to remove the crank & timing gear.

The Timing Cover Gasket is 11019E
