I have a couple of reproduction Grille emblems that I would like to use on my car. I tried soldering the correct clips for a 1931 Stone guard and all the paint discolored.

How have other people made their reproduction emblems work?

If the emblems have the glass like cloisonné coloring it will not be destroyed by soldering. I don't know what is used on the repops. I suggest using a good quality two part epoxy. If the parts are clean and lightly sanded the epoxy will adhere well and hold the needed parts.
