In the 1949 chapter of "75 years of Chevrolet" (first edition), George H. Dammann refers to "the new Special Sedan Delivery, Model 1508".

There was a sedan delivery in 1948, also in the 1500 (passenger car) series. Does this mean there were different trim levels available to sedan delivery purchasers in 1949?

Alternately, what comprised a "special" sedan delivery?

In 1948 the low priced line was the Styleline series.
In 1949 the low priced line was called the Special.
just a change in name in the car line which included the sedan delivery.
