What would be the best way to clean the air filter from my 36 as it does not come apart and there is no replacement filter element for it.

The manual says to remove the top cover, turn up-side-down and slosh the filtering mesh is kerosen, Let drip dry and reoil the mesh annd install.

Thank you for the reply. I will do so as the motor was having some issues idling but when I took the top cover off and drove it the motor idled well telling me the air cleaner wasn't allowing enough air to flow.
