I have 12 frame clips for the lines-5 wide (3716031) and 7 narrow # unknown. I am trying to determine which are gas and which are brake and their placement . I did make notes but don't have enough holes in the RH side . Presently I have two wide clips on the RH front brake line and three wide clips on the inside frame rail to hold the brake line between the front and rear junction blocks. If this is correct how are the narrow clips installed for the gas line as there are no frame holes unused? Well, got the glasses out and located the holes for the gas line-now just need to verify locations of the wide vs narrow if it matters.
I used 4 wider clips to attach the wire harness to the firewall, 2 wider clips on the inner front fenders (one per side) and 1 each for the headlight wires going through the inner front fenders. In total, it looks like I used 8 wide clips under the hood. I used the narrow clip to attach the fuel line to the frame. I don't have a photo of the fuel line with clips.
I come from the early corvette group. There are assembly manuals for each year of car containing pictures that show every part of the car and where it goes, including small items like what you are looking for. I wish there was such a manual for early chevrolets.
I think I have pretty much figured out which clips go where. While it would be nice to know I am 100 percent correct I will be satisfied as long as everything stays in place.
Did you try Restoration Specialties in Windber Pa ? 814-467-9842 I was recently there on an AACA tour and he had tons of different clips. Hope they have what you need.
Thanks but none of those are correct or would even work. Looked at the pictures above at the battry cable and you will see a 1/2" clip that snaps into the firewall and supports battery cable. These are the ones I'm looking for.
Go back to their web site and look at page 227 - Frame Clips. At the top of the page look at B-1252, B-1255 & B-1255A. Are these what you are looking for?
