Hi All,
I have a 47 Chevy Fleetmaster "Woodie Wagon". There are a few thing I can't clear up on my trim tag, 1. is where it was made and 2. is the paint color.
Location states: CL
Paint states: 655 can't find it.

It was a color used on station wagons only.

All station wagon bodies were Built at the Cleveland Ohio Fisher Body plant. Yours was the 674th body built at that palnt in 1947.
To determine the assembly plant where the car was made I would need the serial number.

Thank. Was not really sure about the CL. Most tags have only one letter and the paint info I had only went to 653. So good. Here is the car build info, 6EK-F. Which I believe is, 6 = Oakland plant, E = 47 (year), K= Fleetmaster, and F = June build. So the platform, and drivetrain was assembled in Oakland and then shipped to Cleveland plant for the bodycoach work, correct?

Yes, correct.
The paint number is 355 and not 655

Thanks. You are correct, 355. All I could find was a 353.

Thanks,

RELATED QUESTION: Am looking at a '50 sedan delivery which shows Body No. CL 18669. Did sedan delivery bodies also come out of Cleveland Body Plant (same as wagons?)
