Is the parking brake on a 1940 Chevy PU painted? If so, what color?

Hi Mike

I sent you a PM

The brake lever should be black.
I could be wrong, but I think the moveable part of the handle may have been originally nickel plated.

I am basing this on pictures of a couple of original unrestored 1940 trucks.

Someone please correct me if necessary.
