Is there a certain place on the chassis of my 38 Cabriolet that the ground wire is attached? Was it a braided wire or bare? I thought I posted this question yesterday but I didn't see it this morning. So my wife is correct. I'm losing my mind.

The earth strap was not fitted at the factory but a some of us have fitted 1 to rectify a problem so there is no specific positioning on the frame end but the tank end is under 1 of the screws that hold the sender unit into the tank.
