Today I woke my ‘37 Master Coupe up from its winter nap.

A few days ago I had removed the spark plugs and shot 1 ounce of Marvel Mystery oil into each cylinder. Today I cleaned and checked the gaps on the spark plugs. Before I re-installed them I let the starter turn the engine over until I had oil pressure. I could see that the fuel pump was pushing fuel to the carburetor.

I installed the plugs and it started after about 10 seconds of cranking. I drove it around the neighborhood for a few minutes and then into the shop. I adjusted the brakes and checked the oil level in the rear axle and transmission,

This evening I drove it to a ward meeting with our city alderman.

It felt great to be driving it again!

Man, that sounds great! I should fly down and visit so I can go for a ride. I'm building one of these coupes but I've never ridden in one that moves under it's own power. I could hand carry my parts back. It's obviously nicer weather than we have...

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the response. I was surprised at how natural it felt to be driving the car again.

I do owe you a parts inventory. I was planning to do that this week. Except Pella delivered 16 new windows today and the contractor wants to start the installation tomorrow.
