Hi,

I have a 1934 standard engine (Casting no. 473741-1). The water pump has casting no. 473676 - see pictures below.
Referring to The Filling Station catalogue I'm not able to find a restoration kit for the 1934 standard engine - only their rebuilding service. See page 304-305:
https://online.fliphtml5.com/gsodm/itzj/#p=305

I have reached out to them and asked if they are able to supply the parts only.

Although, what are my options alternative to their rebuilding service if they cannot deliver the parts?

Thanks in advance.

I found a rebuild kit for the water pump on my ‘37 on eBay. They are getting more difficult to find.

The rebuilders would prefer to do the full rebuild so they know it is done correctly. Plus they gain more profit.

What is failing on the one shown? It looks fairly new. A machine shop can replace the bushing if that is all you need.

The pump is leaking at the axle. It was at some point modified and the original setup with bushings was removed and another sealer was installed. Called a simmering in Danish.

The Filling Station was quick to reply. They do not sell repair kits for that year. They can rebuild it with the original type bushings. I'll see what my local machine shop will be able to do.

Thank you for the answers so far. Appreciate it.

That is quite interesting. Is the simmering not available? Do you have a machine shop in your country that can repair or rebuild your pump?

The following parts that come in a 1929-1934 kit also fit the 1933-34 Standard pump.

packing nut
packing
packing spacer
bushings

The shaft is different

Once again thank you for the input. Especially the info on which components are reusable from the "non"-standard engine to the standard engine.
My local machine shop has now restored the water pump with a new simmering and they spun a new shaft. I received the pump today and still need to repair the cooler petcock before final assembly and test.
