I have a 1917 490, I am looking for information on finding a set of top irons for a two man top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would also be interested in getting dimensions/diagrams in order to find a machine shop to make them.

You do not list whether you are working on a touring or a roadster? Look up "Johns Enterprises" in Dairy CA. He should have a pattern he can make you a set from. It will not be cheap but is one of the better options. Pretty well any set you may find at a swap meet will have to be rebuilt. He repaired a set for my little depression R-P truck about 5 years ago. For the top iron repair and the new wood bows it was $1250. It will be more for a touring.

Thank you for the info. I have a 1917 490 touring car. Finding top irons for it has proven to be an experience.
